On New Year eve (31st December 2007), when I was asked by Rev. James
Masih to announce how will new year (2008) be like? With the
inspiration and prompting of Holy Spirit, I said, "It will be the
year of the LORD'S response to all our prayers made so far.”
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom, and the
knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" - Proverbs 9:10
We now understand well that the nations with knowledge power shall
lead the world, so let us make India, a nation rich of knowledge
power. Further the Bible says that all forms of power come from the
God Almighty, i.e. "God has spoken once, twice I have heard
this: That power belongs to God". Ps 62:11
Thus, God fearing nation shall acquire the wealth of True Knowledge.
Post Independence, life indeed has changed dramatically. New
economic policies ushered in by successive Indian Governments
coupled with sweeping global changes have had a significant effect
on Indian economy too. While in the 1950s, agriculture dominated the
Indian GDP, today the service sector accounts for the largest share
in the pie. The "Education" sector with its myriad challenges
requires professional competence and dedicated talent to show
tangible benefits in terms of taking education to the masses and
ultimately making the country's human resources more productive. In
this context, we can easily see why the "Education and Training" in
India is witnessing an unprecedented era of growth, which is one of
the highest in the Service Sector. The need for education and
training services is becoming increasingly segmented with a growing
emphasis on quality, value and student satisfaction. Within the
overall need for education and training services, a number of
extremely important segments have emerged whose needs are specific
and can be served only by experienced and professional
organizations.
India has been the centre of learning for past many centuries. India
today is one of the frontline industrialized nations of the world
and has the third largest reservoir of scientific and technical
manpower. The tertiary level educational institutions in India offer
a wide range of courses in the fields of Engineering, Medicine,
Agriculture, Management, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, and
also in emerging areas of Bio-technology, Bio-informatics, Space
technology, etc. Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University
