It is a great blessing to be part of the AAID University which is a
unique expression of Christian Love and Service. It is not adding
years to life that matters but adding life to each of the year God
in His providence has given to people and Institutions. It is in
this spirit of adding life to each year, our University is geared
for the new academic year with new vigour to professionally bend and
mend the young men and women entering its portals. The improved
infrastructure facilities and the innovative human resources; for
Teaching, Research and Extension are the added and continuing assets
for the academic excellence in the coming year.
We are proud of our passing out students for the grades they have
secured; for the excelling performance they made at the campus
recruitments and the placements they are called upon to shoulder
nationally and globally. Several others, taking up entrepreneurship
programmes is a sign of confidence with which our young scholars are
able to become vibrant actors for the growth and development of the
Nation.
During my recent visits in the United States, it was a thrilling
experience to come across several members of the alumni of our
university, sharing the joy of their belonging to the university and
their desire to reconnect themselves as a measure of gratitude. A
great many of them are looking forward to join us for the centenary
celebrations that are fast approaching. Our beloved vice chancellor
has many such encounters with the alumni in India and overseas and
this speaks for itself of the role the university is playing in
preparing the young men and women of our Nation for greater strides
in life. It would, therefore, be a proud moment for the new entrants
to come on to record and be part of this historic university to be
moulded and equipped for the challenges of Life and Service.
The burden is upon us to free our neighbourhoods from poverty,
hunger and disease. To address some of these concerns, the
university has introduced several new courses branching out to
several focal areas of study and research to serve the whole person
the body the mind and the soul. The untiring efforts of the Vice
Chancellor, Dr.Rajendra B.Lal and his dedicated teams of colleagues
are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the best for our students.
We seek God's blessings upon them and upon our students.
Deciding on a university and deciding on a course of study or
research are of paramount importance for one's career and life's
engagement. Having made a choice, it is equally important that the
scholars need to grow in academic discipline with no compromise on
respect and reverence to one another on the campus and off the
campus. The library facilities and the extra curricular activities
should be judiciously utilized and special endeavours made to excel
the competing students. This will make our families and friends
happy and the University and the Nation Proud.
