As the wings of economic liberalization spreads, it encompasses in itself the globalization of Indian Economy, eliminating political boundaries and providing immense opportunities in a world wide scenario. Infrastructural development, healthcare and quality education, are spelled as the top priorities for a globalised India. Since its establishment in 1910, AAIDU has been involved in training and teaching hundreds of international students from the Middle East, South East Asia and several African countries.
In the recent years AAIDU, has achieved the distinction to be among the top universities in India and South East Asia. The university is moving towards greater heights and looking forward to collaborate with several universities in the developed countries such as USA, Canada, European Union, Japan and Australia. The diversification of education is being felt as a challenge and ongoing efforts of international collaboration is definitely defining the high standards of education the university is striving to maintain. The borders are opening, and students are receiving greater opportunities to study at a university abroad. To be able to meet the competition of their peers, academic institutions will have to develop an ever-better international reputation. Scientific institutions wishing to prepare their students for an international career will be responsible for imbuing the level and content of their curricula with an international dimension. Keeping in view, the internationalisation of the university, following appropriate international activities are undertaken, building up and maintaining a strategically chosen network of foreign partner Universities / industries, faculty and student exchange with foreign partner universities / institutions , offering non-mainstream courses to foreign target groups, International curriculum development, collaborative academic and research programs with foreign universities / institutions, exchange of scientific expertise and information, internationally recognized system of internal quality assurance.

International Association of Universities


The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Rev. (Prof.) R.B. Lal attended the 13th Annual General meeting and Conference of International Association of Universities at Utricht, The Netherlands. The broad topic for the conference was to draft Policy for Higher Education and Research addressing Local and Global needs. Allahabad Agricultural Institute Deemed University is a member of International Association of Universities.

Inter
national Placement

A two member delegation of Irrigation Trade Middle East LLC consisting of Er. Rene Stephen General Manager, and Er. Charles, Project Engineer, both distinguished alumni of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology visited Allahabad Agricultural Institute Deemed University from 2-4 June 2008. As per the requirement of ITME LLC, interviews were conducted and eight students of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and College of Engineering and Technology were selected for International post in the Middle East.

International Visit of Faculty Members of AAI-DU


The International Secretariat sponsored the following faculty member for International visit to various countries.

-:- Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra B. Lal, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. (Mrs.) S. Lal, Coordinator, Campus Ministry, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Imtiyaz, Vice Chairman, International Secretariat and Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Prof. (Dr.) S.B. Lal, Director Research and Dean, College of Forestry participated in Gulf Education and Training Exhibition held at Dubai International Exhibition Centre, United Arab Emirates from 1 to 5 April 2008.
-:- Dr. D.M. Denis visited Alabama A & M University, Alabama and National Sedimentation Laboratory Oxford, USA on being awarded the Indo-US Norman Bourlog Agricultural Knowledge initiative fellowship. His visit was funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and partially sponsored by ICAR and AAIDU.
-:- Er. M. Tariq, Asst. Prof. and Er. Naveen Agarwal, Asst. Prof., Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics attended the International Conference on the performance of Turbojet, Turbofan Engineering with variable properties in the International Conference of Energy Engineering (ICEE) 2009 at Pondichery Engineering College, Pondichery from 7-9 Jan 2009. This visit is fully funded by AAIDU.
-:- Er. W. Jebersen, Asst. Prof., Deptt. of Computer Science & IT attended the 2009 International Conference on e-Commerce, e-Administration, e-Society and e-Education (e-Case 2009) from 8-10 Jan 2009 at Singapore. His visit is fully funded by AAIDU.
-:- Dr. A.J. Raj, Assoc. Prof., College of Forestry and Environment attended the International Student Conference of Biotechnology from 15-17 November 2008 at Tehran, Iran.
-:- Prof. (Dr.) Mathew Prasad, Project Director, visited several universities in China to sign MoU for Short and long term faculty exchange, Short and long term student exchange, Collaborative academic programme, Collaborative research programme and Exchange of scientific information from 7 to 15 December 2008.

-:- Prof. (Dr.) Clive Phillips, Director, School of Veterinary Science, University of Queensland, Australia visited AAIDU from 28 to 29 July 2008.
-:- Dr. V. M. Salokhe, Director, Unified Bachelor's - Masterss Program and Professor, Agricultural System and Engineering, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand visited AAI- DU from 3 September to 6 September 2008.
-:- Dr. Surya Pandey, Research Director, Waikato Institute of Technology, New Zealand visited AAI DU on 15 September 2008.
-:- Dr. Tej Raj Thapa, Assistant Dean, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal visited AAI-DU from 2 to 6 November 2008.

International Faculty

Mr. Jose Pereira Filho and Mrs. Geanna Patricia Pareira from Brazil have joined the Faculty of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences in Feb 2008 as a Fraternal Lecturer at the AAI-DU for a period of three years.

International Students

As per the results of the ongoing efforts of the International Secretariat to increase the number of International Students at the University, the students from Tanzania, Namibia, Libya, Iraq, Botswana, Nepal, Srilanka have joined the AAI-DU for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
