As the wings of economic liberalization spread, it encompasses in itself the globalization of Indian Economy, eliminating political boundaries and providing immense opportunities in a world wide scenario. Infrastructural development, healthcare and quality education, are spelled as the top priorities for a globalised India. Since its establishment in 1910, AAIDU has been involved in training and teaching hundreds of international students from the Middle East, South East Asia and several African countries.

In the recent years AAIDU, has achieved the distinction to be among the top universities in India and South East Asia. The university is moving towards greater heights and looking forward to collaborate with several universities in the developed countries such as USA, Canada, European Union, Japan and Australia. The diversification of education is being felt as a challenge and ongoing efforts of international collaboration is definitely defining the high standards of education the university is striving to maintain. The borders are opening, and students are receiving greater opportunities to study at a university abroad. But to be able to meet the competition of their peers, academic institutions will have to develop an ever-better international reputation. Scientific institutions wishing to prepare their students for an international career will be responsible for imbuing the level and content of their curricula with an international dimension. Keeping in view, the internationalisation of the university, following appropriate international activities are undertaken, building up and maintaining a strategically chosen network of foreign partner Universities / industries, faculty and student exchange with foreign partner universities / institutions , offering non-mainstream courses to foreign target groups, International curriculum development, collaborative academic and research programs with foreign universities / institutions, exchange of scientific expertise and information, internationally recognized system of internal quality assurance.

To further strengthen globalization and internationalization of the universities, the university has signed the MOU with the following foreign universities / organization:

Participation of AAI-DU at International Conference / Workshop

The International Secretariat sponsored several faculty members for International Conferences / Workshop to the following countries:

Prof. M. Imtiyaz and Dr. D.M. Denis participated and presented five research papers in International Agricultural Engineering Conference held from 3-6 Dec, 2007 at Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. Prof. Imtiyaz and Dr. D. M. Denis chaired the technical session in the conference. They also visied the following Universities for International cooperation in Education and Research.

Dr. Jebersen Wilson Asst. Professor, Department of Computer Science and Information Technology attended 2nd GMSARN International Conference, Pattaya, Thailand from 12-14 Dec, 2007.

Dr. Gautam Ghosh attended the International Symposium on “The Socio-economic impact of modern vegetable production technology in tropical Asia” held from Feb 3-6, 2008 at Chiang Mai University, Thailand.

Dr. D.B. Singh and Dr. Vijay Bahadur participated in the International Workshop on Aromatic and Medicinal plant from 15th to 18th January 2007 organized by Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. They visited various departments of Chiang Mai University for International Cooperation in Education and Research.

Dr. Edward Masih and Dr. Anshu Singh attended a one month International Training Program at MASHAV, Isarel.

Mr. Rohit Lall and Mr. P. John Anurag attended a one week International Training on “Sharpening your Interpersonal Skills” at Kolkatta, organized by Interserve India.

Dr. Jahanara visited Kuala Lumpur for the purpose of presenting paper “The Reproductive Health of Women of rurals of Pondicherry of India” the beginning of journey was on 30th July 2007. Her paper was accepted by the five selection committee of International convention of Asia Scholars. Alongwith the ICAS work. After presentation of her paper on 5th August 2007. She went to the University of Kabangsaan (UK) on 6th August to initiate the talk for the collaborative programme between the Allahabad Agricultural Institute and University of Kabangsaan. The University of Kabangsaan is the one of the leading National Universities. By learning new dimensions of researches in Anthropology and in Social Sciences, which will provide a good result in teaching to the P.G. Students and Ph.D. Scholars will be a boon to the Department of Anthropology.

International Workshop on INDO-US Culture & Traditions

As per the MoU signed between the Allahabad Agricultural Institute Deemed University and Campus Outreach, Minneapolis, USA it was decided that both the organizations shall promote - Culture and traditions of both the countries, and as per the agreement an International Workshop on Indo US Culture and Traditions is being organized by the International Secretariat of Allahabad Agricultural Institute Deemed University. The Workshop began on 18th July, 2007. It was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) R.B. Lal on 19th July, 2007. It covered a wide range of topics from ancient, medieval and modern history of India, History of Christianity in India, major communities in India. The Eastern, Northern, Western, Southern culture and traditions were discussed by prominent speakers. Role of Women in developing India, traditional pottery and crafts, dramatics, paintings, puppetry, Indian Agriculture were also discussed. The participants visited the Yeshu Darbar, St. Joseph's Cathedral, All Saints Cathedral, NCZCC, Jhunsi museum, Anand Bhawan and Swaraj Bhawan and various departments related to arts and crafts at the Allahabad University. The students visited Grand Hotel to see how the traditional food of India is cooked. They had a full day session on painting and pottery and crafts making.
On the 14th August, 2007 there was a Joint Workshop by foreign and Indian students in which the Indian students were briefed about the American Culture. Later on the students also experienced the performance of the snake charmers. They also participated in the Independence Day celebration. Mr. P.A. Sangma distributed the certificates on the valedictory function.

International Workshop

As per the MoU signed between the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenehegen, Denmark and AAI-DU, Prof. Mogens was the chief guest at International Workshop organized by the International Secretariat and the key speaker on “Recent Developments in Food Processing”.
The workshop was attended by leading scientists in the field of food technology and was attended by all the faculty members and international students. Later on Prof. Moghens visited the facilities at AAI-DU and was extremely overwhelmed by the facilities provided at AAIDU. Prof. Moghens visited the wheat breeding programme at the research farm and held discussions with scientists at the research station. During the meeting with the International Secretariat, it was decided that AAI-DU and University of Copenehagen shall work towards achieving the following objectives.
1. Human resource development - exchange of knowledge and transfer of technology by providing short term and long term exchange of facilities and students.
2. Joint research programme - research scholars of both the Universities shall be encourage to visit either Institutions.
3. Indo-Danish workshops/conferences - both the institutions have decided that joint Indo-Danish workshops/conferences should be organized every year for exchange of scientific knowledge for the betterment of the scientific community and the third world countries.
