The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of
highest caliber ever since it was established in the year 2002. The
department runs two under graduate programmes and one post-graduate
programme to cater to the ever-challenging needs of technical excellence in
all areas of electrical engineering such as Control systems, Power systems &
Power electronics. The department is also running Ph.D. programme on various
specialized subjects.
Lab Facilities
The Department has over eight well equipped laboratories offering facilities
to work in Various areas of Electrical Engineering such as Power System Lab,
Control System Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Electrical Machine Lab, Network
Lab, Basic Electrical Lab, Electro-mechanical Energy Conversion Lab and
Project Lab.
The Department is well equipped with a number of PCs and workstations
hosting several software packages, and linked through a local area network.
Internet services are available to all students and faculty.
Research Activities
In addition to the strong undergraduate programs, the department has been
playing a pioneering role in producing world-class undergraduates and
postgraduates. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time
to time and provides adequate opportunities for students and researchers to
learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty constantly
carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies regularly published
in top international journals.
