Mission of the Department is to produce capable engineers
who should be able to maintain potential and develop talents to become
responsible citizens of the country and contribute in the nation development
process. Knowledge is being imparted through interaction not only with on
-campus teachers but also with renowned guest speakers, exposure to
industries and by way of attending seminars and workshops. Department strive
for developing students as high class professionals and also developing
their attitude and confidence so as to take up challenges in the society and
make them confidently face the prevailing cut-throat competition in the
outside world. In order to achieve the framed up mission of the department ,
consistent efforts are being put in to create an environment wherein our
students will not only be technically strong and skillful but also excel as
high class professional ever ready to take up and solve challenging tasks. A
platform like IETE students forum Allahabad chapter under the aegis of AAI-DU
has been established in the department. Hundreds of students have become its
member and are organizing not only the technical activities like seminar ,
debates, model making, competition but also cultural activities . Objective
is to develop their personality to work as a team and may be able to fulfill
their aspiration to become the technical guiding force of our country.
Lab Facilities
Department has created well equipped major laboratories like Microwave
Engineering, Optical Fiber Communication, PCB and Electronics Workshop,
Computer aided design based electronics circuits , Electronics measurements
, Analog communication, Advanced Communication, Besides an exclusive lab to
work on “ Project Models” which comprises of internet facility to full batch
of students almost within the same time slot . Additionally, a seminar room
with power point projector facilitates our students to gain confidence while
giving presentations.
Research Activities
Department has been imparting quality education to students not only through
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes but also emphasizes on research
activities covering thrust areas like wireless communication , Microwave &
Antenna, Digital Signal processing, and Microelectronic & VLSI. Present
research activities are on Short-Circuited quarter wavelength cylindrical
rectangular Microstrip patch Antenna, analysis of Dual frequency equilateral
triangular microstrip patch antenna with shorting pin, circularly polarized
rectangular patch antenna on cylindrical surface, Automation of libraries
through information & communication technique application , and to power
wireless sensor network.
