Today the world looks expectantly towards India for pioneering the art of transforming millions of its people for the nation's success and prosperity Thus for India the challenge is unable and develop our young men and women to harness the opportunities that would open the doors of development on India The faculty of Business Studies stands to provide a platform where the knowledge of these brilliant students is enhanced, skilled and sharpened so that they facilitate the growth and development of business and commerce in India . It also provides support to farmers in the area of agri.- business .Management has always been an essential part of efficient organized human activity. It has become an essential tool for systematic analysis and solution of problems widespread. The growing demand for management skills in the public and private sector has resulted in the emergence of management as a discipline and the Faculty of Business Studies is committed to provide excellent professional education in both undergraduate and postgraduate progammees. This Faculty of Business Studies was established in the year 2000 with a special emphasis on developing conceptual, analytical and behavioral skills relevant to organizational leadership. The study programme aims at providing a comprehensive and quality knowledge related with management a well as development of entrepreneurial skills to take up new ventures. Moreover the faculty has a three fold mission of teaching, research, and creativity for improving the quality of life of everyone.

Department of Business Administration

The new economic order faced by our country and rest of the world requires young, enthusiastic and creative experts who will take the recourses for sustainable development. In this Endeavour, Department of Business management tries to inculcate technical, managerial and entrepreneurial competency in the students. It runs full time, two years MBA, and four years BBA (Hons.) programme. The students are sensitized towards various socio economic issues through various assignments from time to time, facilitated by experienced faculty members. In this era of convergence, specialization is so designed, that a student is exposed to different functional areas of an organization. A student has the freedom to choose different areas of specialization apart from marketing, finance and human resource. The training imparted to them provides them numerous opportunities tin this emerging market and has been successful in placing the students in reputed companies.

Marketing Management

Marketing is of interest to every one, whether they are marketing goods, services, properties, person, information, ideas, or organization. It deals with the whole process of entering markets, establishing profitable position and building loyal customer relationship.
The students in the School experience the utter reality in marketing management through case studies and discussions. The main focus, these days is on exploring the opportunities in new economy with respect to globalization. Even if some people question the existence of a new economy, they need to acknowledge the new elements in today's market place. Internet has multiplied the number of ways consumer buys and companies sell and how companies carry on their business. Companies face competitors from growing number of countries, who offer lower prices and equality for their products and services. The focus today is also on customer relationship management. The students of the School are taught to cope up with the changing trends in marketing management.

Human Resources Management

The course gives great emphasis on human resource Management which is the most important of business development world wide. In the present market scenario the individual development in the field of human resource gets topmost priority. Today we need a dynamic manager to run the organization efficiently. All this is being taught and practiced by the students through senior and experienced faculty members.

Finance Management

In this era of LPG (Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization) the entire world has become one big market and only the fittest survives. Finance being the life blood of any organizations, proper management of it is necessary for survival basically and for adding value to this scarce resource. In the School, the students are not only taught finance but also costing and auditing which covers the broad spectrum of entire accounting and costing. Keeping in mind the challenges of global trading students are also given inputs on Risk Management and Insurance

Department of Retail Management

Indian markets are witnessing an era of innovations. Since the liberalization of the economy, there has been a tremendous growth in the variety of services and also in their form and context in which they are offered to Indian Consumers. This growth is backed by huge volumes mainly due to sudden boost in the quantum of Business activities. Internet penetration and aggressive marketing strategies of the retail sector have changed the entire spectrum of Retail. The crucial concerns concerned with Retailing viz the security, legal and operational issues occupy the crux of this programme offered by the College of Business Studies. The MBA in Retail Management is a full time two years course with practical exposures to the likes of Big Bazaar, Spencer's, Salasar, Vishal Mega Mart etc. enabling the students to get a bright future in this field.

Laboratory Facilities

The School has a Computer Lab which is well equipped with latest configuration, loaded with latest software. All the 70 Computers are enhanced with broad band internet facility and with inverter backup. The laboratory is mainly used for M.I.S. Practical. The students regularly work on computers and browse through internet for preparation of their assignments, research work, presentation and explore their knowledge. The Laboratory is strengthened with a Computer Administrator and a Computer attendant. The computer supervisors are competent in helping the student in solving their problems. The maintenance of the computer Laboratory is taken care by the University Laboratory maintenance centre. The School is using latest teaching equipments such as Over Head Projectors, LCD Projectors for Lectures and Presentations making full use of smart classroom concept. Efforts are being made to make the entire computer laboratory of the college air conditioned. We are proposing Personality laboratory and MIS laboratory that shall assist students for their overall development.

Research Activities

The School has initiated Research Programs in the direction of contemporary business trends. The practice enables the research scholars in enhancing their abilities and knowledge under able and experienced supervisors. At this period of time 15 research scholars are initiating their research activities in the overall business areas mainly comprising Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management.
The trust areas of the School’s research ranged from the Consumer attitude towards Cola Drinks, to the Training Needs of Public Sector and Private Sector Employees. The research enables the basic strength of the School in terms of authenticity of the relevant subject area. Further studies and research is always welcomed by the School to strengthen the research base. To enable the research the college has a departmental library having more than 2000 books on the business modules comprising Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and General Management. The library also comprises of research journals, magazines and news
