Director
Administration ensures effective
administration in the University
with the coordination of all
Directors, Registrar, Faculty Deans,
College Deans, Heads of the
Departments, faculty members and
Principal (KVK). He develops and
maintains excellent liasioning with
district administration, police
officials, various offices in govt.
of Uttar Pradesh, press and media,
NGOs, political parties, business
establishments etc. He analyzes
emergency/ disastrous situations (if
any) in the University and act
accordingly as per the directions
given by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor and
Registrar.
Director Administration examines the
competencies of Contractors for all
Canteens in the University and
monitor service and quality of food
stuff and beverages. Also, provide
support to these contactors to
maintain over all discipline.
General discipline of the University
is monitored by the Director
Administration, if needed with
coordination of Dean Student's
Welfare, Chief Proctor, Chief
Wardens (Men's and Women's Hostels)
and concerned College Dean, as
permitted by the Vice Chancellor. He
may recommend disciplinary actions
against non teaching staff in
consultation with concern College
Dean/Head of the Department/Officer
in-charge to the Hon'ble Vice
Chancellor through the Registrar. |

DIRECTOR EXTENSION |

The
University has a full-fledged
Directorate of Extension approved by
the Dept. of Agriculture, Govt. of
U.P. headed by Director Extension.
There are two commissionaires under
AAI-DU: Allahabad & Vindhyachal
comprising of seven districts
(Allahabad, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh,
Kaushambi, Sant Ravidas Nagar,
Mirzapur, & Sonebhadra) for
Agricultural Extension activities.
The Agricultural Technologies
developed at this University and
elsewhere are demonstrated to the
farmers under Transfer of Technology
Programme. Directorate organizes
regular farmer's training programmes
for rural men and women in various
disciplines of Agriculture and
allied sectors. Orientation
programmes for line department
officers are organized at the
Directorate of Extension under
Inter-action Programme. Kisan Mela
(Farmer's Fair) and Exhibitions are
organized in the Kharif and Rabi
seasons by the Directorate. Director
Extension monitors and administer
Krishi Gyan Kendra and Krishi Vigyan
Kendra (sponsored by ICAR, Govt. of
India). |

DIRECTOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT |

Director
(HRM) has the over all charge of
professional development of all
staff members both academic and
administration and keeps in touch
with staff members at various levels
and counsel them on their personal
and professional problems and needs.
He examines the qualifications and
competencies of staff members and
encourage them to undergo required
in-service programmes. Evaluation
and assessment of staff needs at
various departments is done by the
Director (HRM). He is fully involved
in man power planning need
assessment, teaching and work load
assessment for creation of various
teaching & non teaching positions.
His office is instrumental in
recruiting staff, screening
applicants, preparing précis for
Selection Committees. Office of the
Director (HRM) maintains leave
records and attendance. He also
prepares overtime rules, grievance
handling, welfare of retired
employees and staff, feed back of
employees.He may forward his
recomendations for disciplinary
actions to the competent authority.
He assists in formulation and
implementation of personnel
policies. Director (HRM) monitors
performance appraisal, career path,
promotion assessment for various
staff & employees. He designs
service rules, norms and practice &
its implementation. |

DIRECTOR DISTANCE EDUCATION &
PROFESSIONAL AND LIFE LONG EDUCATION |

For
the purpose of conducting Distance
Education Programmes, the University
has a Directorate of Distance
Education (DDE). The DDE has opened
Distance Education Study Centers (DESCs),
and University Distance Academic
Centres (UDAC) in various parts of
the Country.
Director, Distance Education
Monitors every mode of distance
education and is the overall
incharge of the Directorate.
One of the non-conventional tools
used for educating the people of the
country consists of Open and
Distance Education. It is open
because it is not restricted to
young people but it is accessible to
anybody and everybody irrespective
of age, sex and class. University is
using the distance mode in order to
offer education which is not
restricted to specific locality.
Technology has also come to the aid
of students in order to disseminate
distance education throughout the
globalized world.
The University has a Directorate of
Professional and Life Long Education
which offers Under Graduate, Post
Graduate & Diploma Programmes for
all. |

DIRECTOR FINANCE |

Mr.
Ranjan John |
Director
Finance is
responsible for proper maintenance
of books of accounts in respect of
all staff and employees. He ensures
correct maintenance of P.F.
contribution for the staff and
employees and service records /
books of the staff and employees
(both society and government paid).
The records are maintained under his
supervision with the help of Office
Superintendent, Establishment.
Pension scheme for the staff and
employees are controlled by him .
The Annual Budget of the University
and the Society is prepared under
his supervision. Payments of
salaries, bills, advances etc.
within the sanctioned budget are
done from his office. He is
responsible for deduction of Income
Tax, TDS, GPF and GLIC of Teaching
and Non-Teaching staff, for
specifically Govt. approved posts.
He is secretary for the University
Finance Committee (UFC). He is
responsible for receipt of all
Grants from Central and State
Governments for the use and benefit
of the Deemed University with the
mandate and objects of the Deemed
University and as per financial
rules. He is responsible for annual
audits of society accounts and all
grants received from State Govt. and
Central Govt. Correspondence
relating to Govt. finance, legal and
taxation, etc is done through his
office. The legal records related to
service matters of Government
approved posts are maintained by his
office. |

Director
Development reports to the
Vice-Chancellor in all the matters
relating to the Directorate. He is
responsible to represent AAI-DU and
participates at State & Central
level committees. Meeting,
conferences and gosthies with the
prior approval of the Vice
Chancellor are organized by the
Directorate in co-ordination with
different departments of the
University.
He convenes the meeting of concerned
Scientists/Officers with prior
approval of Vice- Chancellor.
Director Development also work as
liasion link between University,
State Government & Central
Government / Institutions
He is responsible to prepare draft
plan for further development of the
University in the areas of teaching,
research, extension. |

Director, School of Film & Mass
Communication (SFMC) aims at
providing the best opportunities to
student and prepare them to meet the
emerging global challenges in Mass
Communication in the years to come.
SFMC also impart technical education
to the future aspirants and aims at

professional with analytic skills.
SFMC is a School par excellence
equipped with latest laboratories
excellent infrastructure and

team of faculty members. Teachers
provide firm and supportive learning
environment. Radio is not simply a
tool for entertainment, but is also
a great tool for employment.
Faculty is running own Community
Radio Station (CRS) Radio Adan (90.4
MHz) addressing itself to the
residents of Allahabad. Here
students get the privilege of hands
on experience of Audio Dubbing,
Editing and Programme Production for
Radio.

Research monitors research on
identified priority areas of
agriculture and allied fields
together with the extension of
research outcome to farmer's field.
The directorate covers seven
districts of Uttar Pradesh withits
research activities, under the
direction of Director Research.
It undertakes farmer's training
programs, live demonstration, model
village development, farmer's
advisory service, soil testing,
agriculture and hygiene and agro
forestry model demonstration.
Director Research monitors research
activities of the following
sponsored projects:
All India Coordinated Research
Projects, National Agriculture
Technology Projects, Ad-hoc Research
Project (ICAR, DST etc.), Research
Coordinating Centers, ICAR Revolving

DIRECTOR AUXILARY UNITS |

Director
Auxiliary Units organizes
Agricultural and related activities
at AAI-DU Farm in two sections viz.
Agro- research farm and Dairy farm
(forage production farm). Master and
layout plan with proper approachable
roads, irrigation network, offices,
storage structures, sheds and plots
of suitable size are designed under
the supervision of the Director.
Fish ponds as an auxiliary unit with
supporting components for
demonstration, recreation and
commercial production are monitored
by the Director. He does crop
planning and its execution for
different seasons. Varietal orchard
trials of horticulture unit are done
under his supervision.
Director provides land for research
to various departments viz. Plant
Protection, Genetics and Plant
Breeding, Agricultural Engineering,
Biotechnology, Microbiology,
Biological Sciences, Horticulture,
Agronomy etc. This is the
responsibility of the Director to
develop on campus AAI-DU Farm as a
Model Farm for teaching and
research. He also explores avenues
to purchase agricultural land to
develop off campus Agricultural Farm
of 500 acres.
