The Fifth Convocation was held on the 9th
April 2010. with tremendous zeal,
enthusiasm and in a grand way.
Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Mani Jacob
presided over the 5th Convocation and
the Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) A. K. A. Lawrence
conducted the Convocation Proceedings.
Hon'ble Dr. D. D. Lapang, Chief Minister
of Meghalaya was the chief guest. Many
dignitaries, VIP, guests and parents attended
the function. 2000 students were awarded degrees
by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.)
Rajendra B. Lal. Gold Medal and Merit
Certificates were awarded to the meritorious
students.
It was a great and memorable occasion, which was
witnessed by the Board of Directors, Deans,
Heads, Professors, Associate professors,
Assistant Professor, academicians, Scientists
and students of the university.
Those, who
could not received their
Degrees in
the Fifth Convocation and
want to receive their Degree
by post, will have to pay Rs.
100/- as postal charges.
You can send the request
letter with the Bank Draft
of Rs. 100/- in favour of
Registrar, Sam Higginbottom
Institute of Agriculture,
Technology & Science,
payable at Allahabad. If
you want to receive the
Degree personally after the
Fifth Convocation, you may
any time visit SHIATS and
receive your degree from the
counter of Registrar’s
Office.
