The University in its 97 years of existence has always strived to do
better and better for the students. The students of the university
have contributed immensely to the national development through large
manpower resources in various fields of study. The university
strives to see that the training which the students receive through
teaching and research activities has its impact on international and
industrial manpower requirement. We focus our attention on producing
quality students, not only through classroom learning but also
through various activities on the campus, thereby changing their
personality and enhancing their employability.
The Career Planning and Counselling Centre (CPCC) have been
established with the objectives to see that the university students
have a fair chance to be face to face with the companies/
industries/ institutions, which offer them employment. The CPCC in
its endeavour to assists university students in finding employment,
invites the prospective employer to our university campus and plays
a wonderful host to them.
CPCC coordinate the task of organising the Campus interview for
students just before the completion of the programme in order to
help them to secure attractive jobs. Till date our students have
made a distinct impression in the industries even as trainees and
have metamorphosed into solution providers.
We firmly believe that the curriculum in the classroom and in the
laboratory is not enough as it also requires the active guidance and
supports for enabling them to convert themselves into a higher
degree of employable candidates. The CPCC keeps the students
informed about potential job opportunities with respect to the
market scenario for their future career and guides them for the
employability conversion. Efforts are made to prepare students to
become capable and self dependent so as to meet the changing
requirements in their day to day job opportunities.
The Finishing School
In today’s world of stiff competition, the prospective employees
(Students) have to develop a variety of skills, which will help them
to reach greater heights in their career and the employer starts
having faith on their working abilities. Students are raw material

which make them employable.

ELITE CLUB
“Elite Club” is formed whose membership will be from those students
who have procured jobs for themselves. They may have been selected
either at “On Campus” or “Off campus” recruitment or have obtained
from any other sources. The purpose of this club is to initiate an
attitude of cordial relationship with junior and senior students.
The senior acts as a guide to their juniors and help them in
advising them on the intricacies of facing the recruitment process.
They became members of the club when they receive the appointment
letters from their employer.
They should willingly give a talk to students about their
performance, and their interview experience. They should serve as
guide to their fellow student’s community. A directory which will
contain all relevant information will be published for these
students. Members will be offered a certificate. A grand
get-together in formal clothing will be organised for these Elite
