young, enthusiastic and creative experts who will take the resources for
sustainable development. In this endeavour, Department of Business
Management, tries to inculcate technical, managerial and entrepreneurial
competency in the students. It runs full time, two years MBA, MBA
(Agribusiness) and four years BBA (Hons.) programme. The students are
sensitized towards various socio economic issues through various assignments
from time to time, facilitated by experienced faculty members. In this era
of convergence, specialization is so designed, that a student is exposed to
different functional areas of an organization. A student has the freedom to
choose different areas of specialization apart from marketing, finance and
human resource. The training imparted to them provides them numerous
opportunities in this emerging market and has been successful in placing the
students in reputed companies.
Department of Agribusiness Management
In the recent years agribusiness management has grown with rapid strides and
even the hard core industries have diversified themselves towards
agribusiness seeing tremendous potential. The opportunities in the
Agribusiness has attracted not only our Indian companies but also foreign
multinationals, which in itself creates demand for such managers who are
trained in skills required for managing agribusiness. Keeping this
requirement in mind the Department of Agribusiness Management started a full
time, two year MBA (Agribusiness) programme to enhance the managerial
capability of students already trained in agriculture at undergraduate
level. The student are trained to undertake managerial responsibilities in
different industries. They are trained for various functional areas like
marketing, finance, human resource and operations managements. Constant
effort is made by the faculty members not only to teach the technical
aspects of management but also to improve upon their interpersonal skills.
The students of agribusiness management who have been successfully placed in
reputed companies are instrumental in taking the agribusiness sector to a
new height.

Agribusiness Management
Agriculture occupies a very important place in our country's economy. Around
70% population is dependent on agriculture for their livelihood. Agriculture
is the mainstay of India's economy as India's GDP depends on it. With the
enforcement of liberalization policy of 1991, agriculture is now being
treated as a profitable business enterprise. The post graduate programme of
agribusiness management is designed to cover a broad spectrum of areas
related with agriculture.
Marketing Management
Marketing is of interest to every one, whether they are marketing goods,
services, properties, person, information, ideas, or organization. It deals
with the whole process of entering markets, establishing profitable position
and building loyal customer relationship.
The students in the college of Management experience the utter reality in
marketing management through case studies and discussions. The main focus,
these days is on exploring the opportunities in new economy with respect to
globalization. Even if some people question the existence of a new economy,
they need to acknowledge the new elements in today's market place. Internet
has multiplied the number of ways consumer buys and companies sell and how
companies carry on their business. Companies face competitors from growing
number of countries, who offer lower prices and quality for their products
and services. The focus today is also on customer relationship management.

Human Resources Management
The course gives great emphasis on human resource Management which is the
most important of business development world wide. In the present market
scenario the individual development in the field of human resource gets
topmost priority. Today we need a dynamic manager to run the organization
efficiently. All this is being taught and practiced by the students through
senior and experienced faculty members.
Finance Management
In this era of LPG (liberalization, privatization and globalization) the
entire world has become one big market and only the fittest survives.
Finance being the life blood of any organisation, proper management of the
same is necessary for survival basically and for adding value to this scarce
resource. In the College of management, the students are not only taught
finance but also costing and auditing which covers the broad spectrum of
